Real-time monitoring and expert support for agile and transparent carbon management.
Grupo San Cristóbal, with a long-standing presence in the Argentine insurance market, decided two years ago to adopt LEAF for carbon footprint management. This decision is part of the Group’s sustainability strategy, aimed at strengthening climate management, data traceability, and data-driven decision-making. The challenge: to manage efficiently by incorporating technology and technical support.
Since then, Grupo San Cristóbal has been measuring the organizational carbon footprint (Scopes 1 and 2) of its General Insurance business unit, including 20 sites distributed across the country.
They are currently working on progressively expanding the measurement to other business units and incorporating Scope 3 emissions in the next report.
Although Grupo San Cristóbal already had prior experience in carbon footprint measurement, since implementing LEAF, the company has highlighted the difference made by the SaaS platform + specialized coaching model.
Using the LEAF platform, the team can perform calculations and access updated results in real time. Measurement becomes continuous and dynamic, eliminating dependence on annual closing cycles and enabling more agile, real-time climate management.
Another key advantage highlighted by users is immediate availability: reports are instantly accessible for urgent requests. Additionally, transparency in calculations and data traceability stands out, providing full clarity on activity data, factors, methodologies, and calculations used.
They also emphasize the professional and close support provided by the LEAF team. The biweekly sessions serve as a space for technical strengthening and organizational learning, enabling them to:
- Review technical questions
- Identify errors
- Collaboratively develop solutions
Grupo San Cristóbal is currently evaluating next steps to further strengthen its carbon management system:
- Automation of data input
- Exporting results through integration with internal platforms
Through integration services, it is possible to connect databases, ERPs, or dashboards with LEAF to maintain a real-time flow of information. In this regard, they have successfully integrated LEAF with their environmental performance indicator platform.
This enables a move toward automated climate management, reducing manual tasks, operational time, and risk of errors.
Grupo San Cristóbal continues on this path with the goal of consolidating an increasingly complete, integrated, automated, and robust climate management system—strengthening both reporting quality and the organization’s environmental performance.
